“setting for your mailbox are changed” spam

There has been a email campaign going around this week that looks like this:

Subject: setting for your mailbox [your email] are changed

SMTP and POP3 servers for [your email] mailbox are changed. Please
carefully read the attached instructions before updating settings.

http://groups.google.com/group/djwoodo/web/setup.zip

These messages are spam, and the setup.zip file that they refer to contains a virus. ArrowQuick will never email you asking you to download a Google Groups file — all official files are available only on the hosting.arrowquick.com site.

The spam emails are annoying, but these campaigns usually fizzle out once Google and the ISPs are notified. In the meantime, you can increase your anti-spam settings, or create a rule in your email program to automatically delete or junk these messages.

Thanks for this. Spam and dealing with it kills productivity.
